Michael Robertson intended to start this service when he founded mp3.com but RIAA shut it down and the domain was bought out by cnet.com. mp3tunes.com is Robertson’s vision clarified. It’s not really intended to share mp3 files, it’s more like a remote mp3 storage. mp3tunes.com is basically a service where you send your mp3’s to a remote server and you can access it anywhere through any computer with an internet connection.
I have yet to try it but it seems like a cool service. It’s not only compatible with mp3 files but also MP4, M4A, M4P, AAC, WMA, OGG, AIF, AIFF and MIDI files. It is said to work with iTunes. I think you stream your music. Storage for the free service is unclear but if you pay for the $39.95 a year premium service, you get unlimited storage so you can put all your music in the mp3 locker (good way to back up your music collection). Another difference between the free and premium is the streaming bitrate. It’s 56k for the free and 192k for the premium. You can buy music from this site as well and the interface is pretty much the same UI as iTunes music store.
xLIB xLIB Revolution is a clone of the Dance Dance Revolution game using xLIB flash APP by Patrick Prendergast (hence the name). Unlike most other calculator clones this one features crazy graphics and run pretty fast. It also includes a level editor that will allow infinite possibilities for the game. You can even have background images in songs or even animations! Probably one of (if not the) best DDR clone for calcs. Enjoy and have fun!
David Copperfield says he plans to impregnate a girl on stage - without even touching her.
Speaking to German magazine Galore, the illusionist rejected the theory that there were only seven different kinds of magic tricks.
He said: “Bull s**t! There is a great deal of new territory to conquer. In my next show I’m going to make a girl pregnant on stage.”
He added: “Naturally it will be without sex. Everyone will be happy about it, but I’m not telling you any more.”
The magician is currently on tour in Germany with his show, An Intimate Evening of Grahttp://sungsblog.com/wordpress/wp-admin/post-new.php?posted=15nd Illusion.
I just saw it yesterday. It was definitely the only Final Fantasy game that deserved a sequel. I still haven’t finished 1, 4, or 5 since they don’t work in my PS2 and my PS1 no longer works. Even though my favorite Final Fantasy is VIII and everyone still disagrees that it can’t be my favorite, VIII had closure. Everything ended nicely with a happy ending. I’ve never played IX, I think I was busy that year. X was excellent but X-2 was terrible, I gave it a chance but I just couldn’t play through it. I just didn’t care about what happened to Tidus after awhile. I don’t do MMORPG so I haven’t played XI. I won’t pay $120+ a year for any MMORPG, especially if I can play only one game while paying that fee. Xbox Live I could live with if I get a game worth my time to play online. A lot of those MMORPG games require a lot of time to actually start having fun with it.
VII had the best story. The moment Sephiroth killed Aerith, I was genuinely shocked and angry. I rarely get these feelings when playing video games. I don’t play a lot of video games even though I may keep up with some of the things going on in the industry. I just don’t take them as seriously as others in my generation do.
It was a treat when I found that they were working on a short movie that is going to be a sequel to VII. I didn’t think much of it when it was first announced. It was only a small blurb in a magazine. I didn’t think much of it, maybe just a short clip made by the animators for fun and for fans? Just to deepen the existing story? A month later they release more info that it will be a 60 minute movie. At the same time they released pictures of main characters for XII. I was distracted with that, but before I knew it, they announced that Advent Children would be a 90-minute movie. This is when I started to become really excited about it. Little by little, they released more screenshots, stated that Dirge of Cerebus will continue where Advent Children leaves off and the DVD will be released in the US fall 2005.
Many sleepless months go by until I stumble across a copy of Advent Children fansub. It was a joyous occasion. Of course I yelled at anyone that came near my room so I wouldn’t be distracted while watching AC. And so I watched it. A few minutes went by and I pondered the movie. 30 minutes later, I watched it again. I felt like a true nerd and I couldn’t be happier.
The movie was actually pretty good as far as action movies go, although it’s much more than that. The visuals were top-notch, really detailed and smooth. The action sequence was very fantastic but it was very fast and intense. I think the plot could have been better. What made me really like it was seeing all the old characters again. I think other fans of the series felt the same way especially when each character threw Cloud up that tower. Also when they performed their limit breaks. I didn’t think highly of the new villains. One of them looked like Scott Caan, from Ocean’s Eleven and Gone in Sixty Seconds, but with white hair. Reno and Rude took such a beating. I remember them being bumbling idiots in the game but not being this tough. Apparently, Eminem was in the voiceover actor for Mr. Coates but I don’t remember the character in the movie.
If you’re a fan, you’ve probably seen it already. If you’re not but like visually stunning movies, I’d recommend it. It is also a very good action movie as well, some people have complained about the camera angles but it didn’t bother me that much. Overall, well of course I liked it, but it has been one of the best made movies this year. It’s sad I can’t even joke like that because of how bad hollywood has become lately.
Seriously, there hasn’t been any movie I’ve gotten excited to go see in months! There’s the usual remakes of old tv shows and movies but what’s up with all these horror movies that look exactly the same? I’m glad at least that they learned a lesson that Jimmy Fallon sucks and therefore his movies will also suck. Same thing with Owen Wilson. Hollywood at least knows enough to not let him in a movie by himself with the exception of Behind Enemy Lines. Every time I see him I just want to punch him in the face, that’s probably why he has a crooked nose.
I was flipping through the channel and came across this movie on IFC. It’s about a boy born on the luxury cruise ship in the year 1900. Everyone calls him 1900 because of that. The story was very interesting. 1900 is born on the ship and hasn’t left the ship. He is also a very good piano player. He has piano duels with some guy that claims that he invented jazz. He learns from the different people from different countries boarding the ship. He hangs with the first class and the stowaways. One day he meets a girl and almost leaves the ship to go after her. But ultimately stays on the ship until the end, when they blow up the ship even though he wouldn’t leave.
You see, his reasoning for not leaving the ship is that he feels like his world is in his control. He feels safe on the ship. He doesn’t think he can handle being on land. He can handle a ship of 20,000 people but not one with millions. He is afraid that he will just be a part of the world, being boring, blah, blah, blah. Whatever. But I just didn’t realize why he couldn’t go on land for awhile and go on a different ship. He has enough talent that he can go very far in the world, make lots of money, get famous, get any girl, etc., but if he wants to settle for being a piano player on a cruise ship, he doesn’t have to die just because the ship he’s on is gonna get blown up.
Even with me telling you the ending, and my complains about it, I would still recommend the movie for a Netflix rental. Tim Roth (1900) and Pruitt Taylor Vince (Max) are very good in it. It’s a nice little story. It’s not for everyone. It’s not paced like a hollywood movie. It’s a (foreign/)independent movie, it just has a style most people aren’t used to. The piano duel was one of the best scenes in the movie.
