Mr. Belding: After Saved by the Bell

Mr. Belding, also called Dennis Haskins, has been doing very well partying since the "Gold Age." And by partying, I mean gaining a lot of weight. Here's Mr. Belding and Tony Romo singing Journey:

Pac-Man Christmas Tree

Pac-Man Christmas Tree

Other countries have so much fun. This is in Spain.I think they should've taken the extra step and made it playable. The shape should make it extra fun like you would have to run around the tree when your Pac-Man is towards the top of the tree, where it is narrow, and you wouldn't know if a ghost was coming in the next turn.

Smart Nail Guide

Smart Nail Guide

Michael Harris designed this concept idea for a nail assist. It helps to strike the nail with a bigger metal area at the top. It also helps you strike the nail down straight. The third benefit is the protection to your fingers. If you still hit your fingers even with this device, you do not have the sense of touch and sight.

Holyfield to Take on Holyfield

Holyfield Vs. Foreman

Evander Holyfield is set to release a $99 Grill that will directly compete with George Foreman's Lean Mean Grilling Machine. Holyfield's grill will be called Evander Holyfield's Real Deal Grill. I can't wait for Mike Tyson's Crazy Ear-Biting Grill. Don't let the name fool you, it's not actually crazy. Inanimate objects don't have mental capacities to be crazy.

Touching my New New iPod

Posted Sep 21, 2007 8:19 PM by Sung
iPod Touch

My initial thought about it is that it's fun just navigating through the menu. I thought that when you play video, you can play it portrait or landscape mode. It seems to only play in landscape mode. Also, I've read before that the iPod Touch has inferior screens compared to the iPhone.

I noticed that right away when watching a dark video (not the kind of dark that includes capes, Big Ben and howling...I'm not sure what I'm referencing). I figured it was just a result of a poor LCD screen. My phone is like that when you're not looking at it straight-on, the blacks look inverted and seems like it's brighter than other colors. It seems like early iPod Touches have defective screens. Now Apple has officially announced that there is definitely a problem. Since the iPhone has been out for more than three months, I didn't consider the Touch as a first-gen device. Well personally, the screen isn't a big issue. I've had no problems with it when doing other things with it, especially web browsing.

Web Browsing With Safari

iPod Touch

When I first saw the announcement of the iPod Touch, the first thing I thought of was browsing the web on Safari while laying down on the couch while watching a Mets game or IMing friends while on the water closet that Thomas Crapper made famous as Patrick Norton puts it.

Playing with Safari was pretty fun but when you get into it and try to browse like you would on a desktop or laptop, you realize it's really slow. When you zoom in to read text, it looks like Google maps when you zoom in. It looks like it's loading a jpeg everytime you zoom or scroll. It's a good thing it doesn't have flash or pages with flash would come to a halt. This is why I think that Apple didn't include Flash support in the iPhone and iPod Touch. It would probably crash it. It already freezes when you goto a content-heavy site. It froze on my when I visited my iGoogle page. I have about a dozen widgets and it kept getting hung up. Same problem with Yahoo.

It's not like that's why I got this for. I got this for when I think of something, I can Google it without having to get my laptop, startup it, wait for windows to load, log in to my user account, wait for windows to load and then start firefox. So far, it's been great for that. Although, I missed the Mets game.

Music

Music playback it pretty straightforward. Press the Music button on the home dock, select the way you want to browse your music, find your music, and play. Not much has changed. Coverflow is something that I never really liked. When I listen to music, I don't listen to one album at a time anymore. I had to when I had CD's. I don't need to load each album, one at a time. It feels like going backwards. I just like to play my playlist and shuffle the albums.

I never get an urge to play a specific song. Sometimes when I'm at a party, I want to play a song for everyone, but usually they don't have a stereo with an iPod dock or a RCA stereo to 1/8" headphone cable laying around. They'll have a computer but of course I can't copy the songs from my iPod to their computer. I could try downloading and installing a program like Senuti but at this point, I'm sober which means I'm knocking over the ice luge and nobody wants that.

YouTube, Other Features

iPod Touch

This is the first thing that came up when I clicked on the YouTube icon, "YouTube Not Available." Why? I don't know. I was able to click on the other buttons and they played fine. This is one of my favorite features, actually. The videos look way better than on youtube.com. the H.264 conversion look great. I thought that they converted the compressed videos on youtube but I guess that they converted the original, uploaded videos.

Another feature, I like is Contacts. I don't use the iContact or whatever it's called on OSX, but entering contacts was easy and fun on the Touch. I really could've used this feature last week. A potential client called me but I had nothing but my cell phone on me. I couldn't take down the number. I told him my email address but I don't think he got the right spelling.

American Gladiators is Back!

Posted Aug 24, 2007 2:54 PM by Sung
American Gladiators is Back! American Gladiators was an awesome show that used to be on in the early to mid-90's. I say awesome now even though I was a casual viewer. It was always on though on Saturdays. My favorite was Nitro. Lace was always the non muscle girl.

Some say enough with the remakes, including me, but now I say, bring back more! I'm pretty sick like that.

This is my jam right here. The concept of this totally awesome music video is mind blowing. Four meteors fall down on to Earth and they transform into four musical geniuses but at the same time, they represent the four elements, water, wind, fire, and earth. They show off their mighty powers while singing a song that's universally the awesome. You haven't lived until you've made a video of yourself dancing and emulating this video on youtube.

DDR for Your Calculator

DDR for your calculatorxLIB xLIB Revolution is a clone of the Dance Dance Revolution game using xLIB flash APP by Patrick Prendergast (hence the name). Unlike most other calculator clones this one features crazy graphics and run pretty fast. It also includes a level editor that will allow infinite possibilities for the game. You can even have background images in songs or even animations! Probably one of (if not the) best DDR clone for calcs. Enjoy and have fun!

Final Fantasy: Advent Children

Posted Sep 19, 2005 4:30 PM by Sung
Cloud's Cell PhoneI just saw it yesterday. It was definitely the only Final Fantasy game that deserved a sequel. I still haven't finished 1, 4, or 5 since they don't work in my PS2 and my PS1 no longer works. Even though my favorite Final Fantasy is VIII and everyone still disagrees that it can't be my favorite, VIII had closure. Everything ended nicely with a happy ending. I've never played IX, I think I was busy that year. X was excellent but X-2 was terrible, I gave it a chance but I just couldn't play through it. I just didn't care about what happened to Tidus after awhile. I don't do MMORPG so I haven't played XI. I won't pay $120+ a year for any MMORPG, especially if I can play only one game while paying that fee. Xbox Live I could live with if I get a game worth my time to play online. A lot of those MMORPG games require a lot of time to actually start having fun with it.

VII had the best story. The moment Sephiroth killed Aerith, I was genuinely shocked and angry. I rarely get these feelings when playing video games. I don't play a lot of video games even though I may keep up with some of the things going on in the industry. I just don't take them as seriously as others in my generation do.

It was a treat when I found that they were working on a short movie that is going to be a sequel to VII. I didn't think much of it when it was first announced. It was only a small blurb in a magazine. I didn't think much of it, maybe just a short clip made by the animators for fun and for fans? Just to deepen the existing story? A month later they release more info that it will be a 60 minute movie. At the same time they released pictures of main characters for XII. I was distracted with that, but before I knew it, they announced that Advent Children would be a 90-minute movie. This is when I started to become really excited about it. Little by little, they released more screenshots, stated that Dirge of Cerebus will continue where Advent Children leaves off and the DVD will be released in the US fall 2005.

Many sleepless months go by until I stumble across a copy of Advent Children fansub. It was a joyous occasion. Of course I yelled at anyone that came near my room so I wouldn't be distracted while watching AC. And so I watched it. A few minutes went by and I pondered the movie. 30 minutes later, I watched it again. I felt like a true nerd and I couldn't be happier.

The movie was actually pretty good as far as action movies go, although it's much more than that. The visuals were top-notch, really detailed and smooth. The action sequence was very fantastic but it was very fast and intense. I think the plot could have been better. What made me really like it was seeing all the old characters again. I think other fans of the series felt the same way especially when each character threw Cloud up that tower. Also when they performed their limit breaks. I didn't think highly of the new villains. One of them looked like Scott Caan, from Ocean's Eleven and Gone in Sixty Seconds, but with white hair. Reno and Rude took such a beating. I remember them being bumbling idiots in the game but not being this tough. Apparently, Eminem was in the voiceover actor for Mr. Coates but I don't remember the character in the movie.

If you're a fan, you've probably seen it already. If you're not but like visually stunning movies, I'd recommend it. It is also a very good action movie as well, some people have complained about the camera angles but it didn't bother me that much. Overall, well of course I liked it, but it has been one of the best made movies this year. It's sad I can't even joke like that because of how bad hollywood has become lately.

Seriously, there hasn't been any movie I've gotten excited to go see in months! There's the usual remakes of old tv shows and movies but what's up with all these horror movies that look exactly the same? I'm glad at least that they learned a lesson that Jimmy Fallon sucks and therefore his movies will also suck. Same thing with Owen Wilson. Hollywood at least knows enough to not let him in a movie by himself with the exception of Behind Enemy Lines. Every time I see him I just want to punch him in the face, that's probably why he has a crooked nose.
